Review: Transformation Oracle by Sonya Shannon

Transformation Oracle
Author: Sonya Shannon
Schiffer Publishing, 2018
Description: 44 oracle cards and 150 page Guidebook
Card Size: about 2 3/4 by 4 3/4 inches

The Transformation Oracle, a channeled deck, is intended to guide you on your spiritual journey.

"Whether you read for yourself or others, the cards and their meanings are guided by the Divine to bring about healing, spiritual growth, and positive change."

The deck's foundation lies with the four elements: earth, air, fire, and water. This is the first thing you should consider when reading the cards. Earth brings a message concerning your body, Air suggests a need to use your thoughts, Fire is a call to action, and Water signifies you to allow your feelings/emotions to guide you.

The included guidebook goes into great detail of how to use this deck - from getting started to cleansing the cards. The author offers ten spreads, along with instructions of how to interpret the cards within the spreads. The spreads range from the simple one card spread to the very detailed Chakra spread.

After all that, you learn about the eight phases within the transformation and the cards that fall into each phase, which brings the interpretation of these cards to an even higher level. These phases are: Beginning, Ending, Stasis, Quietude, Growth, Nourishment, Decline, and Refinement.

The images alone are breathtaking. You can gage the card's element by the bottom area of the card. Above, from left to right, you have earth, air, fire and water.

A brief look at these cards in their Phases:
Simplicity falls into the Decline Phase, which shows changed circumstances and power.
Direction and Stuck both fall into the Stasis Phase, showing a loss or stalled position.
Creativity is of the Nourishment Phase, showing blessings and gratitude.

The rest of the guidebook, over half, covers each card in great detail: interpretations, meanings - elements, numbers, and phases.

A brief look at a single card:
Wisdom, an air card, falls within the Refinement Phase, indicates work on the self that may take a long time to process. The Refinement stage is of personal growth, reflections, becoming our truths. Wisdom is about knowing and embracing that knowledge. At some point, you have to quit turning to others for the answers and acknowledge that you know what you to know in order to make the choices in your life. If you pull this card in your reading, it's a sure sign that you are ready to take charge of your own life.

You will find more information about this deck at the creator's website, transformation-oracle.com.

The energy of this deck is amazing. The images are breath taking. And, the messages received were extraordinary. I am very impressed with this deck. It would make a great addition to any reader's collection.
