Connecting to Tarot through Story - Four of Wands

A picture is worth a thousand words. What better way to connect to the tarot than to spin a story from the image and meanings?

The traditional meaning of the four of wands is of rest and celebration. The Rider-Waite card shows a scene of dancing and festivities. The Crystal Visions Tarot image is somewhat different.

A woman arrives on horseback. A man awaits her arrival. Wands are ablaze. Bubbles, who doesn't love bubbles? The lovely pink sky makes me think love is in the air.

Is the woman out for a horseback stroll? Or is there a party awaiting her arrival?

What's being celebrated? A season? A wedding? A victory? Or, is the gathering more casual, a gathering of friends and neighbors?

What story do you see in the four of wands?

Feed Your Spirit

We tend to our physical bodies. Food satisfies our hunger, exercise keep our muscles strong, bathing pampers our skin, and on and on. But what are you doing for your spirit? Do you find yourself neglecting the most important part of your existence?

How do you feed your spirit?

Laughter is an important ingredient in caring for your spirit. Take a moment and evaluate your moments of laughter. Is it a rare occurrence? If so, find what makes you laugh and incorporate it into your life. If you are lucky, it may be as simple as spending time with a loved one.

What other appetizing morsels can you serve your spirit?

Spirits are all unique. You may have to take a moment to determine what makes it happy. Then, you can create a menu to keep your spirit alive and well.

Is your spirit adventurous? Does it enjoy quiet time? Many love creating, be it gardening, painting, writing, etc. Your spirit may be a music lover. Be creative and find what to feed your spirit, and strive to do so, on a daily schedule.

You can be as strong as an ox, clean as the air, and healthy as a horse, but what good is any of that if you live your life miserable and numb. Give your spirit some nourishment and enjoy each day of your life.

What's on your spirit's menu for today?

Reconnect with Divine Guidance

Throughout life, we all experience Divine Guidance, although sometimes we ignore the little voice directing us, guiding us, helping us. If you don't think you've ever been touched from the heavens, think again.

The last time you lost your keys - ask yourself why was the last place you looked and found them somewhere you never would have put them in the first place? How did they get there? Why did you even look?

Guessing who's on the other end of the phone - remember the moment right before the phone rang, you thought of your mother and it turned out she was the caller? What made you think of her?

How about the inner voice suggesting you may be driving too fast and should slow down? Moments later, blue lights dance and a siren blares. You should have listened right?

If God and his angels can speak to you concerning such small issues, can you imagine what you could accomplish if you only allow yourself to listen a little closer? It's hard to let go of your control and take guidance from the unknown, but really what do you have to lose?

Take a moment out of your day. Find a comfortable, quiet spot, clear your mind, and listen. You may be surprised by what you might learn from the angels above. They are also available for requests.

What experiences have you had with messages from angels?

Animal Spirit Messages - Deer

Animals provide a communication connection with the spirit world, if you take a moment to see, listen, and hear.

Repeated sightings of animals can give clues to pay attention to the messages being sent to you.

There are many methods of connecting and communicating with Spirit. If you listen and are receptive to its voice, Spirit will reveal its messages through the animals and nature. Connecting with a power animal establishes a psychic link which helps you communicate in non-verbal terms. You can receive additional information by observing the animal's natural characteristics and their environment. Pay attention and you will receive practical, healing and helpful messages. Lily Therese

This isn't a new concept for me, but each day my life moves into a clearer focus, and I take more notice to things around me and do my best to hear the messages provided for me from the spiritual world.

It isn't extremely uncommon to see a deer cross before you on a country road, or is it? Perhaps, what you think of as normal is actually a repeated attempt to get your attention. Hitting a deer - perhaps it's an extreme attempt to make you pay attention.

Over the last two weeks, I've encountered a deer crossing before me three different times. These all seemed to be a lone deer, but I'm sure it had company. I feel the absence of its company triggered me to pay more attention than if it had not been seen alone.

So, what is the message the deer wishes to provide.

After some research on online sites, I've come to the conclusion the message is not to force the situation and to allow things to unravel in their own time. This could refer to many areas of my life at the moment. In fact, I can think of three instantly, so perhaps the three sightings are a suggestion to apply this to all areas.

It is not the right time to confront the enemy. Know when to walk away. Be alert to danger. Pay attention and look before you leap. Time for compassion and forgiveness. Learn to trust. Cultivate new friends and ideas. Try something new. Don’t be afraid to cry. Nurture yourself and take time to heal. Walk more or increase activity. Spend more time outdoors. Dance and be joyful. Cultivate your inner knowing. Get a massage or try an alternative healing session. Try meditation. Look deep within your nature and root out major fears. Lily Therese
