Weaving the Pieces Together – Message from Spirit

Anonymous via Wikimedia Commons
We receive messages from Spirit, both while awake and during our sleep. They can come in many shapes and forms. Most are easy to miss, if you are not paying attention. Some slap you in the face, but you don’t know what to do with it. And then there are some you just can’t figure out, can’t put your finger on what it all means.

Last week, the signs and messages seemed unusually abundant, or maybe I was just in tune with what was going on around me. With so many things coming through, I wasn't sure what to do with it all. But, then it occurred to me, maybe the reason we sometimes don’t get the message is because it’s not in one single sign but a weaving of many.

Repeating Numbers

The month of August began with numerous 111 appearances. The message in this repetition is of following a new path, breaking away from old patterns, aligning with soul’s purpose.

Last week, the numbers shifted to 333. I always pay special attention when the numbers change course. I believe this is a sign that I've received the first and am now ready for the next.

The message in repeating 3’s is of recognizing the love and protection of Angels and Spirit. They are there, waiting to assist in any way possible. All you have to do is ask. 333 appeared throughout the week.

Feathers on the Path

Early in the week, I discovered a blue feather on the ground. Then, the next day, I spotted a brown one. Feathers are a common sign from Spirit and Angels. This is, however, a very rare occasion for me. So, to find two, one right after the other, let’s just say my attention was captured.

A blue feather can symbolize an increased connection with Spirit, a message on its way, or a reminder of the Angels being with you. A brown feather symbolizes grounding, security, and stability. In my opinion, I believe the brown feather was simply a message to pay attention to the message of the blue feather.

Elephant Dream

Dream Message: You are able to deal with any obstacle you are faced with at this time.

In my dream, the elephant is a source of worry. I don’t know what to do with it or where to put it. I have a job to do, but I can’t do it because I have to figure out what to do with the elephant. Then, the elephant shrinks to the size of a cat. But, I still don’t know what to do with it, because eventually it will regain its size and then what will I do?

The elephant is obviously an obstacle, but in the dream I can't face it, whether it is large or small. I believe part of the message of the dream is the solution will be the same no matter the size of the task.

Butterflies

The Butterfly represents transformation, change, new paths, and rebirth. The message is to prepare for the change before it’s forced upon you. It signifies a time to move into a new cycle of life. ~ Lily Therese

It's not unusual to see butterflies in my yard. I have many flowering plants. But, on these sightings, it was as if I was drawn to them and astonished by their beauty. It was as if a whisper played upon the wind, "Hey, look at me. There's a reason you are seeing me."

A Weaving of the Messages of Spirit

Angels are watching and protecting me. They are available to assist in my journey. My connection with Spirit is increasing, and it’s important to recognize such. I am able to deal with the obstacles before me, but I may need the assistance of the Angels and Spirit. A change is on the way, and I need to prepare myself for the shift. I am not alone, but surrounded by spiritual helpers.

Affirmation: I accept the assistance of Spirit. I open myself to receive your guidance in my journey of change, obstacles, and challenges.

Animal Spirit - Fox

Red fox detailed photo by Sarvis John, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
When asked to describe the characteristics of the Fox, many will begin with words such as cunning, clever, and sneaky. Known for their graceful hunting and survival abilities, the fox has an acute sense of hearing and smelling. She’s also able to blend in with her surroundings.

As an animal spirit, the fox reveals the message of being patient, watchful, and instinctive when approaching a problem. There may be a need to sit back and study the situation, to understand its true nature before making an approach. Caution and observation are needed. You may also find yourself needing to adapt and blend in to make it all work out.

My first visit from the fox came last year. She stood under a moonlit shadow of a tree in my yard. I’ve seen her twice more in my yard, and once she crossed the street in front of me as I drove home. These occurrences have happened with long periods in between, and each time I had been mulling something over in my mind. Obviously this fox lives within my neighborhood, so is it a message, or just random sightings?

I began putting this post together on Monday night. Guess who darted out in front of me on my way to work Tuesday morning? This fox is obviously trying to get my attention, and ensure I receive the message she brings.

~~~~~~
Lily Therese“Fox’s message and medicine is to playfully pursue your goals and objectives.”
Spirit-Animals“If Fox has made her appearance in your life, the solution to a problem is at hand.”
Spirit Animal“When the fox appears in your life, it may indicate that you need to pay attention to people or circumstances that may be deceiving or tricking you into going down a path that does not necessarily serve you. This spirit animal may call you to be more discerning in relationships, whether it’s in business or friendships, or in choices you make for yourself.”
The Week Ahead – Higher Intuitions Oracle
As this year has brought to me many messages through the Animal Spirits, I've come to love this deck, Higher Intuitions Oracle, with its animal images and wonderful, insightful messages. So, I turn to it for this week’s outlook.
I ask the question: What do I need to be aware of as I move through the week ahead?
The Owl with its message of Wisdom appears.
Quote from Companion book:
“A WISE OLD OWL LIVED IN AN OAK.
THE MORE HE SAW, THE LESS HE SPOKE.
THE LESS HE SPOKE, THE MORE HE HEARD.
WHY CAN’T WE ALL BE LIKE THAT WISE OLD BIRD?”
~UNKNOWN
As I look upon the card, I think, “Watch, listen, and learn.”
This week should be one of stepping back and observing. I should be aware of what’s going on around me and careful not to overlook the truth of the issues. If I can bring myself to wait it out, secrets and knowledge will be revealed and become clear.
The companion book suggests listening to intuition and gut instincts. The interpretations given to signs are most likely correct. It also warns of someone keeping a secret or being untruthful. Your second sight will reveal the answers.
From Spirit-Animals - Use your inner wisdom right now because it is trying to tell you something. Trust it.
I thought you might also enjoy this view of an owl stopping for a drink of water. I found it on YouTube. It's short, but a nice view of this awesome creature. Enjoy!
Message from the Inch Worm
As a postal carrier, I see many things throughout the day. Some are everyday occurrences: birds, flies, spiders, squirrels, and deer. And, sometimes I have a few out of the ordinary incidents. Birds flying in the car with me, a deer waiting for my attention before running off, and with each of these I pay attention and do my best to hear the message being sent.
I've never had an inch worm grab a ride though, that is until last week. He somehow made his way onto my arm and was traveling, well, inch by inch.
After returning him to nature, I thought on how unusual it was for such to occur, not impossible, but unusual. You may not pay attention to those black, green, and even tractor mail boxes, but some are literally in the trees.
Nevertheless, I took it to be a message from a higher source. Had an awful time finding reference to this little critter and possible messages on the web. I finally came across Spirit Animal Totems and The Messages They Bring You. Lots of information here, and I found the inch worm.
Summarized Message: Be careful and clear of what you seek, and if it’s right for you. Take one small step at a time. Progress is good at a slower pace for now.
With the speed of progress I've been achieving lately, this is a comforting message. But, it also reflects my indecision of my current direction. Torn between my interests, I feel a little lost, not sure where to devote my attention. A Tarot reading this morning revealed a similar message of being clear of my true desires in order to reach my correct goal.
So, when time is sparse and you feel as if you are not accomplishing much, take it from the Inch Worm, “Every Inch Counts!”
Animal Spirit Messages - Deer
Animals provide a communication connection with the spirit world, if you take a moment to see, listen, and hear.
Repeated sightings of animals can give clues to pay attention to the messages being sent to you.
There are many methods of connecting and communicating with Spirit. If you listen and are receptive to its voice, Spirit will reveal its messages through the animals and nature. Connecting with a power animal establishes a psychic link which helps you communicate in non-verbal terms. You can receive additional information by observing the animal's natural characteristics and their environment. Pay attention and you will receive practical, healing and helpful messages. Lily Therese
This isn't a new concept for me, but each day my life moves into a clearer focus, and I take more notice to things around me and do my best to hear the messages provided for me from the spiritual world.
It isn't extremely uncommon to see a deer cross before you on a country road, or is it? Perhaps, what you think of as normal is actually a repeated attempt to get your attention. Hitting a deer - perhaps it's an extreme attempt to make you pay attention.
Over the last two weeks, I've encountered a deer crossing before me three different times. These all seemed to be a lone deer, but I'm sure it had company. I feel the absence of its company triggered me to pay more attention than if it had not been seen alone.
So, what is the message the deer wishes to provide.
After some research on online sites, I've come to the conclusion the message is not to force the situation and to allow things to unravel in their own time. This could refer to many areas of my life at the moment. In fact, I can think of three instantly, so perhaps the three sightings are a suggestion to apply this to all areas.
It is not the right time to confront the enemy. Know when to walk away. Be alert to danger. Pay attention and look before you leap. Time for compassion and forgiveness. Learn to trust. Cultivate new friends and ideas. Try something new. Don’t be afraid to cry. Nurture yourself and take time to heal. Walk more or increase activity. Spend more time outdoors. Dance and be joyful. Cultivate your inner knowing. Get a massage or try an alternative healing session. Try meditation. Look deep within your nature and root out major fears. Lily Therese
Frogs
Candid frog by Leon Brooks
I know, "What do frogs have to do with the tarot?"
Some believe that animal spirits have messages for you. After repeatedly seeing a frog on my front porch, I began wondering what type of message the spirits were trying to give me.
I looked it up and found that according to www.animalspirits.com, the frog's wisdom includes a reminder of common bonds with all life, singer of songs that celebrate the most ancient watery beginnings, Transformation, Cleansing, Understanding emotions, and Rebirth.
My readings have been reflecting a transformation of sorts, a recovery over the past, and new cycles in life. I found it interested that the frog reflects these issues. I'm also delighted that this stage of my life is so important that the frog spirit felt the need to visit.
After reading, Paths, Smuggling and Missing Things on Arwen's blog, I became curious as to the appearance of frogs in the tarot.
Choosing the Mystic Dreamer Tarot, I set about searching for the frog. To my amazement, the first 5 cards I viewed contained the frog. Working my way through the deck, I was able to find a few more stragglers. Finding the first cards all together, I felt there must be a message stirring from the spirits.
Here are my findings:
The first five cards were 5 of Wands, 2 of Pentacles, 8 of Cups, 21 The World, and Knight of Wands.
A Statement that could be taken from these cards may be:
By facing the challenges presented, you shall find balance in your financial life and recognize the items that should be left behind. At this moment everything will be complete and you will find the focus you need for growth and creativity.
Interesting!
The straggler cards were 7 of Swords, 5 of Cups, Knight of Cups.
Could these cards offer advice on how to accomplish the above?
Don't sneak away from your responsibilities.
Accept your losses and move on.
Focus on love and understanding.
Well, all this is definitely something to think about and I can thank my visiting frog for bringing these cards to my attention.
