Enjoying Daily Pleasures, An Angel Reading

Sometimes it’s a struggle to see and experience those small pleasures within the bigger picture. Life gets busy and hectic. You do your best to merely survive. But, we need to stop and see what exists within and outside of us.

These last few weeks, I've experienced a roller coaster ride of ups and downs, sometimes wondering if it would be easier to just let go, put it in neutral and allow life to pass me by. But, my soul would shrivel and die left to such despairing conditions. So, instead, I struggle even as I realize it’s not necessary to struggle at all, only to be.

I decided to use Doreen Virtue’s Healing with the Angels Oracle Cards for this week’s reading. Who better to seek advice from while seeking help for your soul, than the angels? 

“What do I need to know to get the most pleasure from each moment?” 

Signs – You have asked the universe for help, and the angels supply you with signs, with answers to your questions. As I look upon this card, a voice whispers, “Look, can’t you see?” The angels are with us, guiding us, if only we believe and allow them to help us in this life journey.

Watch for signs from the angels. They assist you throughout your path.

Enchantment – Recapture your sense of wonder, of creativity, of believing in what you may not see. This card reminds me of the Fool. The unicorn stands at the edge of the grassy cliff, head down, and ready to charge forward, into the unknown.

You should embrace your inner child, allow yourself to be free and step into your own imagination and dreams.

Truth and Integrity – Be true to yourself in all that you do. “Let go of anything inauthentic, and all activities that do not mirror your highest intentions for yourself.” This card represents the release of your struggles. Do not continue to fight against unmovable objects. Release all that isn't right into the hands of the angels for elimination or healing.

Do what feels right for you, not what may be expected by others.

Overview – You asked for help and the angels accepted your request. It’s up to you to pay attention and receive the signs meant to guide you in your path. Allow yourself to see the world in a different light, a world of magic. You arrived here innocent and able to believe in anything. Return to this childlike state, play and enjoy each moment in time. You struggle with life due to misdirection and miscommunication with self. Release what is not truly yours, let go of all bad situations or difficult goals, allow the angels to guide and heal you during your life journey.

An Angel Message for the Week of October 14-20

Healing with the Angels - Doreen Virtue

The week begins with a need to Trust in yourself, others, God, and your angels. Fear created by personal past mistakes and the misleading of others may be blocking your ability to trust, but it will be important to let down your guard and to find the ability to trust. God and your angels are here to help.

The middle of the week brings a Celebration – good news, a cause for celebration, a time to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Celebrate your break-through. You reach a goal and should appreciate your accomplishment, no matter the size – big or small.

The end of the week brings Divine Timing – doors open for you. To everything, there is a season and a time to every purpose, under Heaven. Pay attention. The timing is right, and the doors open wide for you to take the next step. Don’t force any doors though, the right one will present itself, but you must be open yourself to recognize it.

Overview: By allowing yourself to trust yourself and others, you will have a break-through in your current desires, which will begin to open the right doors.

A Message from the Angels

Healing with the Angels, is a wonderful deck by Doreen Virtue. The beauty of the artwork and the color borders makes this '44-card' deck a wonderful addition to my collection. Below, I've asked the angels for guidance.

Doreen Virtue is also the author of the Healing With The Angels book, among other books and angel oracle decks.

How can I better connect with my higher self?

Cards pulled: Meditation, Healing (Reversed), and Support

First, I will point out, this deck does not suggest the use of reverse cards, but Healing not only fell out during shuffling, but also appeared reversed in the reading.

Past - Meditation - This card suggests quieting the mind to allow the voices of the angels to be heard.

Meditation isn't an easy task for me. The only time I manage to get close to a quiet mind is moments before sleep takes over. With this card, I take it to mean the angels are speaking to me, if only I will listen.

Present - Healing - This card suggests a healing has occurred, but may not be realized for focusing on 'what's wrong'.

By falling from the deck and appearing reversed, this card takes on a blocked aspect for me. I'm not allowing the healing process to take place. The guided path is to surround the situation with healing thoughts and release it to the angels.

Future - Support - This card suggests a strong support and guidance system from God, the angels, and the ascended masters. It also suggests the questioner to be more than supported by, but a part of this group.

This protection and guidance has not been lost to me. I'm very aware of the protective shield around me and a lighted path before me. I believe the appearance of this card is to bring to my attention I am more than a protected soul, but a part of a larger group, which is so for us all. This is not a lone journey, but a collaboration of souls.

Overview: To better connect with my higher self, I need to allow the voices to be heard and accept the healing process. The outcome shall be feeling the connection of the larger group.
